Creative Wedding photography
Creative wedding photography is sought after by many couples. From my experience, I would say that most people want creative wedding photos that go beyond the traditional photography. Couples want a creative wedding photographer and a creative wedding photoshoot. Creative wedding portraits are special and an awesome, creative wedding photographer will create some magical photos.
What makes a photo creative?
Well this is an interesting question because creativity is highly subjective. Have you ever looked through a magazine or photo album and one photo just stops you in your tracks? Something about it just stands out. There’s something unusual about it or intriguing. The photo makes you think and study it. Well that’s one way I think of creative wedding photos.
As a creative wedding photographer, I view thousands of photos regularly and I’m trained to find the special creative wedding photos. One of my personal goals when working with couples is to provide creative wedding photography.
Creative Wedding Photographer
A creative wedding photographer will take creative wedding photos by being technically competent and knowing what compositions to create when doing creative wedding photography. A lot of creative photographers, such as myself, have studied photography and have a sense of what makes a photo creative. There’s something called the rule of thirds in photography, which is about where you place your subject will make for a better photo. This is just one rule in photography that can help make amazing photos during a creative wedding photoshoot.
Understanding the light
Creative wedding photographers understand the light and often look for interesting lighting scenarios. Depending on where the light is and what it’s doing can greatly improve the creativity within the photo. The relationship between light and shadow is fun to think about and play with. As a creative wedding photographer, I often study the light and pay attention to how the light falls on the people I photograph.
Waiting for the decisive moment.
Some creative wedding photographers are trained to wait for moments. I often do this myself, where I anticipate something intriguing that’s about to take place and I’m ready to capture it. As a creative wedding photographer, I often do this and use a photojournalist approach in my creative wedding photography. I find that a lot of creative moments occur naturally and it’s up to me to figure out how to compose a creative photo.
Angles
Angles play a huge part in creative wedding photos. Depending on where someone takes a photo will make for an interesting photo. As a creative wedding photographer, I know one way to produce creative wedding photography is by playing around with angles. Whenever I’m photographing, I often move around and try to get different angles.
